U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs hired Reingold to develop a first-ever nationwide communications and outreach strategy to promote VA's suicide prevention resources and services and help reduce the stigma associated with seeking mental health services. Our public service announcements aimed at Veterans illustrate that help-seeking is normal behavior and treatment works. Together with a top-notch team of specialists in Veterans' issues, Reingold is creating and executing an integrated plan to engage key partners and—most important—encourage and motivate at-risk Veterans to call on VA for support.

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

Reingold is helping the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to encourage its more than 300,000 employees to take steps to sustain and improve their personal well-being and professional capabilities through diet and exercise. Reingold publicized Wellness Is Now across VA in the months before the launch, using intra-VA media channels to urge employees to take advantage of the program.

The Nation's Report Card

The National Assessment Governing Board oversees The Nation's Report Card, the only nationally representative assessment of what our students know and can do in grades 4, 8, and 12. Reingold works closely with the Governing Board to relay the results of math, reading, and science report cards to the public. We have developed an innovative and integrated strategic communications plan that embraces thought leadership as well as new technologies—webinars, social media, and other forms of outreach—to engage stakeholder groups and ensure that the power and relevancy of The Nation's Report Card is reaching education practitioners, policymakers, and parents as they consider education reforms across the country.

12th Grade Preparedness Commission

The National Assessment Governing Board established the 12th Grade Preparedness Commission in part to sound the alarm on the challenges facing today's high school seniors as they graduate without the academic preparedness required to tackle college-level academics and job training needed for the global economy. Reingold has been successful in getting the Commission's message to the forefront of the education and workforce debate through bold media outreach, with placement in outlets such as CNN, The New York Times, The Chronicle of Higher Education and Education Week.

Memphis City Schools

Memphis City Schools and its leadership have committed to a pervasive and systemic overhaul to transform the impact of its teachers, the lives of its students, and its contributing role in the community. At the heart of this work is the recruitment and retention of great teachers. Reingold recently kicked off a communications strategy to build awareness about the Teacher Effectiveness Initiative, which will change the way teachers are evaluated, hired, trained, and supported to increase the academic achievement of students. The initiative is supported through a grant from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

STOP Sports Injuries Campaign

A growing epidemic of preventable youth sports injuries is dismantling kids' athletic hopes and dreams at an early age. Reingold's public education campaign, STOP Sports Injuries, is a nationally recognized go-to source of information on youth sports safety and injury prevention. The campaign is raising awareness among healthcare professionals, coaches, parents, and athletes and motivating them to put safety first.

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Bullying is a widespread and serious problem, especially among middle school students. Reingold is working with the Melissa Institute for Violence Prevention and Gallup to develop resources to help principals implement school-based bullying prevention initiatives that engage teachers, parents, and students. Reingold has created an online training tool for teachers and staff; video clips with students describing the impact of bullying; posters, fact sheets, and brochures; and an online test that gauges how much the user knows about bullying.

Combat Soldier's Recovery Fund

The Combat Soldier's Recovery Fund provides financial aid to American soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines recovering from war wounds at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. One hundred percent of all donations go directly to wounded Veterans and their immediate families.
